The Story of Hambol Global Trading: Empowering Africa’s Agricultural Future
Founded in early 2024, Hambol Global Trading (HGT) was born from a vision to transform Africa’s agricultural landscape by bridging the gap between local farmers and global markets. Co-founders Adama Traoré and Mariam Koné, seasoned professionals with extensive experience in global supply chain management, identified key challenges faced by African farmers: limited market access, insufficient logistics solutions, and high freight costs. With this insight, they launched HGT with the mission to empower farmers and communities across Africa.
Hambol Global Trading was created to tackle these barriers head-on, providing African farmers with access to international buyers while overcoming the logistical constraints that often hold them back. Countries across Africa, including Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Mali, face significant obstacles when it comes to freight, as limited logistics solutions and exorbitant freight costs make it difficult to compete globally. HGT’s founders sought to not only improve market access but also provide reliable logistics pathways, ensuring African products can reach the world efficiently and competitively.

Adama TRAORE, a seasoned chemical engineer and proud alumni of Harvard Business School, is the Co-founder and CEO of Hambol Global Trading DMCC. With over 12 years of experience in corporate settings, Adama brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic business acumen to the forefront of global trade.
Adama’s career began in chemical engineering, where his precision and analytical skills laid the foundation for success in the oil and gas sector. His passion for continuous learning and improvement led him to Harvard Business School, where he sharpened his leadership and global business strategies. Armed with this powerful combination of technical and managerial skills, Adama co-founded Hambol Global Trading, a company dedicated to bridging the gap between African farmers and international markets.
